Officers
and Executive Committee members oversee the day-to-day operations
of the Association. They are elected from the membership at
the annual state conference. Terms of office run from July
1 to June 30.
Officer positions consist of:
The only officer positions elected at the state conference are
the Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The Vice-President
serves a one-year term in that position before serving as the
President-elect the following year. The President-elect serves
a one-year term in that position before serving as the President
for the following year. The Secretary and Treasurer positions
serve two year terms.
Executive Committee positions consist of:
Executive Committee positions are elected on staggered basis
to maintain continuity within the association leadership. Each
year, four Executive Committee members are elected to two-year
terms.
NGAWV also employs a part-time Executive Director to assist
the association leadership in managing the day-to-day affairs
of the organization. The Executive Director also serves as the
principal lobbyist for the Association.
