The National Guard Association of West Virginia (NGAWV) was founded in 1959 as the professional organization of the West Virginia National Guard and its members.

The National Guard Association of West Virginia (NGAWV) was founded in 1959 as the professional organization of the West Virginia National Guard and its members. NGAWV is not a military organization, but a private IRS recognized charitable organization of current and former military personnel. NGAWV was created to provide a strong, unified voice in which the needs of Guard members could be realized and supported. Your membership and support are very important in ensuring our collective voice remains strong.
The mission of the National Guard Association of West Virginia is:

To promote and improve national security

To foster and improve The National Guard of West Virginia and the National Guard of the United States

To sponsor or participate in activities of a patriotic nature

To provide insurance benefits for members and their dependents

To carry on programs to perpetuate the memory of deceased veterans and members of the United States Armed Forces and to comfort their survivors

To promote the common good, social welfare and general welfare of the people of the community

To provide social and recreational activities for members

To provide assistance to hospitalized veterans within the scope and resources of the Association
MEMBERSHIP
The mission of the National Guard Association of West Virginia is to promote the homeland of America by ensuring the West Virginia Army and Air National Guard has the necessary personnel, equipment, and infrastructure to carry out assigned missions.

The Corporate Sponsorship program is designed to sustain and develop partnerships between the association, corporate members and the Army and Air National Guard. This helps industry better serve the Guard while assisting NGAWV in executing its priorities.

The NGAWV participates in numerous events throughout the year to include the annual State Conference and the NGAUS National Conference. We invite you to join us at an upcoming event.

Aug. 23-26 | Detroit
Join us for the 146th General Conference & Exhibition. More than 2,000 Army and Air National Guard officers from all 50 states, three territories and the District of Columbia gather to connect, party and get down to business setting the NGAUS upcoming legislative agenda.
Registration is FREE for current Company Grade Officers, Warrant Officer 1s and Chief Warrant Officer 2s. Registration is only $50 for Field Grade Officers and CWO 3-5s and their spouses.
